Important notice for Aylook servers older than 9.2
Dear customer,
Artificial Intelligence tools are providing hackers with increasingly powerful tools. Anteklab, having concluded that the protection of Aylook’s internet communications was no longer sufficient, took action to remedy the situation and has released a new version of the firmware (9.2) which - given the current state of the art - can be considered secure.
What has happened, in practical terms?
The issue is that the access points to Aycloud are fitted with locks that hackers may have learnt to bypass by posing as the legitimate user.
Although we are not yet aware of any incidents, there is a risk that malicious individuals could gain hold of login credentials for the cloud services and, via the apps, disable alarm notifications and possibly even the alarm control panel itself, should it be controllable via the Aylook app.
The “lock change” is a necessary step that cannot be postponed.
Clearly, changing the lock means that anyone without the new “keys” will be locked out! Anteklab therefore urges all users to update their Aylook servers to firmware version 9.2.
For users who do not wish to - or are unable to - update the software, Anteklab offers the option to continue using the Aycloud/AycloudPro services in unprotected mode, and therefore at their own risk, but requires their consent, in accordance with the instructions provided on the webpage: https://manleva.aylook.com
Yours faithfully,
Lino Predella
Director
