What happens if the cloud goes down? With aylook, nothing - thanks to the new redundant cloud

Around 90% of installations are checked through an app: alarm notifications, live and recorded footage, system status - all in real time. But what happens if the cloud the app relies on goes offline while the client is away from the property? A cloud outage can mean missed alarm notifications, unreachable recordings and, in the worst case, a break-in the client only learns about after the fact.

The redundant cloud

aylook now runs on a redundant cloud infrastructure. If the primary cloud fails, the system switches automatically to a fully synchronized backup cloud - no logout, no manual switch, no interruption the user would notice. Alarm panels reachable over a SIM data connection, and panels integrated natively with aylook (AVS, EL.MO, Inim, Ksenia, Risco, Satel, Tecnoalarm), keep working the same way: if the internet line drops, aylook maintains the connection to both cameras and the alarm panel over the local network or SIM data.

Who benefits

  • The client: uninterrupted access from the app, with nothing to configure or notice
  • The installer: no emergency call-outs for a cloud problem that isn't theirs to fix, less unplanned maintenance
